Enable Import Responses from Existing Applications
Administration > Site Settings > General Settings
If you are using a Master template to create your application forms or copying from the same form each time, (to ensure all the XML section names and question names are the same for your common question across all the applications), you can allow applicants to import responses from one application to another application.
When the applicant applies to an application, they will see an Import Responses from Existing Application option on the application's dashboard.
This option displays a listing of all the applications to which the applicants have applied so they can select the one they want to import responses from by clicking on the Import or Advance Import button for that application.
If Import is clicked, a message will display notifying the applicant that any information already entered will be overwritten in the new application form. The applicant will need to click Yes to proceed with the import.
They will then receive an additional message prompting them to confirm all the imports for accuracy by clicking Ok to return to their dashboard to complete the application form.
If Advance Import is clicked, a list of all available fields from the selected application will display. Click the box in the first column to select a section to import. Or, click the plus sign next to the section name to display a list of all fields within the section. Select only the fields you need to import from the expanded section.
After you have selected all desired data to import, click the Import button. The two system messages referenced above for the Import button process will display. To complete the Advance Import click Yes on the first message and Ok on the second message.
Once the import is complete, all the XML sections and XML questions that match from the other application selected will be automatically populated with the same values into the new application form.
