Manage Awards Settings - Custom Fields

Custom fields can be added to the Manage Award – Award Applicant screen.
There are twenty customizable fields available. Custom fields allow you to capture additional information for an applicant’s award and display it on the Award Applicant/Add Award screens.
The fields highlighted in red in the screenshot below are an example of custom fields.
When you click Edit the custom fields will display in the lower portion of the window, as shown below.
An example of an award custom field and the columns used to define it is shown below:
Default Name – The default name given to the field for tracking purposes.
Enable/Disable – This controls whether or not this field will display in the Manage Awards section. To display the field select Yes, otherwise select No.
Display Name – Enter the label for this field that will display when viewing it in either the Manage Awards or Add Award screens.
Type – Each custom field has a pre-formatted type noted in this column. Available field types are a dropdown, text box, numeric, date, and essay box.
TextBox – There are ten customizable TextBox fields. Administrators can enter descriptive information about a funding source. No formatting tools are available for this field type. Values do not apply to this text type.
Date – There are five customizable Date fields. Dates can be entered in the field using the MM/DD/YYYY format or the popup calendar can be used to select a date. Values do not apply to this text type.
Essay Box – There are three customizable Essay box fields. This field type allows you to activate an essay box field that allows administrators to enter text about a funding source.
DropDown – There are two customizable Dropdown fields. This field type allows you to create a dropdown listing of items that your administrators can select from for this specific field.
Values – This field only displays for the field type of DropDown. Enter the valid list items for the new DropDown field as one long string using the ~ symbol between each value. Do not use spaces between the values.
