There are two application invitation settings. One is creating the applicant's application automatically after sending an application invite. The other is asking an applicant to click on "Apply" after inviting the applicant to the application.
Application Invitation Site Setting 1:
Enable Automatic Application Creation through Application Invitation is set to "Yes," and you did not Disabled it under the Administration >Manage Site Settings > General Settings (Enable Automatic Application Creation through Application Invitation)
- Once you assign applicants to a private application in the Application Invitation, an email will automatically be sent to those applicants. (Notifications > Notification Center> Email template Name > Application: Application Invitation)
- In the email, there will be a highlighted link that the applicant will click on to be directed to that application.
- Once the applicant clicks on that link, they will be directed to your site's login page where they will log in with their applicant user login.
- Once they login, the application will appear in the applicant's "My Applications" tab with the status of "Pending Submission". The applicant can then clicks on the Application Name and complete the application form.
Note: If there are pre-qualification questions on this application form, those questions will not appear to the applicant
Application Invitation Site Setting 2:
Enable Automatic Application Creation through Application Invitation is set to "No" and you did not Disabled it under the Administration >Manage Site Settings > General Settings (Enable Automatic Application Creation through Application Invitation)
- Once you assign applicants to a private application in the Application Invitation, an email will automatically be sent to those applicants. (Notifications > Notification Center> Email template Name>Application: Application Invitation)
- In the email, there will be a highlighted link that the applicant will click on to be directed to that application.
- Once the applicant clicks on that link, they will be directed to your site's login page where they will log in with their applicant user login.
Important: It is very important that they access this login page using the link and not by going directly to the site to log in. The link has special coding attached to it, the site allows them to view the application once they have logged in. They try to go directly to the site without using the link; the application will not be available for them to access. They have accessed it through the link initially and started the application; they can then go in using the standard login method.
- Once they log in, the application will appear for them to click the Apply and start the application.
- They must click the "Apply" and access the application before they can log out and log in using the normal login page.
- Once they have started the application, it will appear in their "My Applications" tab on their dashboard, to access going forward.
