Set up the View Matching Scholarship Application Process
The View Matching Scholarships feature is used in a one-to-one application process that enables your applicants to be matched to additional applications that are similar based on the funding source’s eligibility criteria.
When the applicant applies to one funding source and completes that application, they will see a button on their dashboard that allows them to view matched applications for additional funding sources to which they may want to apply.
The matching will require that the same criteria questions are present in all the additional funding applications.
As the applicant answers the criteria questions in one application, if the reply to that question(s) criteria is exactly the same as the reply needed to meet the criteria in another application, the applicant will be matched to that additional application.
Step 1: Create each individual application form, cloning from the Master template application or create your first application and clone all the remaining applications. All the questions must have the same Section XML and Question XML names to match.
Step 2: In the General Information setup for each application select Yes for Enable View Matching Scholarship and select Yes for Enable Opt-In/Apply Options in View Matching Scholarship. (Home > Application Settings > General Information) Please refer to the General Information Setup Items article for more details.
Step 3: For each application, create the funding source and associate the applicable application. (Manage Application Funds > Setup New Funding) Please refer to the Setup A New Funding Source article for more details.
Step 4: On each application form, open the Assign Application Funds section and select all other funding sources that you want to match in this process. (Home > Application Settings > Assign Application Funds) Please see the Assign Funds to Your Application Form article for more details.
Step 5: Set all the eligibility criteria filters for each additional fund for the application. (Home > Application Settings > Manage Funds Criteria Information) Please see the How to Set Fund Criteria for an Application article for more details.
Once all the funds' applications have criteria set, the applicants can begin applying and will also start seeing the matched applications.
